Mumbai, Nov 28 (NationPress) Renowned filmmaker Shekhar Kapur had a heartfelt reunion with Seema Biswas, his actress from 'Bandit Queen', after several years at the 56th Indian International Film Festival in Goa.

During this meet, Shekhar disclosed that he, along with the cast of 'Bandit Queen', experienced profound emotional intensity during the production of the 1994 film.

Reflecting on their reunion, Shekhar shared on social media, "Bandit Queen. Likely the most intense film I've ever created... or will ever create. The actors and I were deeply immersed in the film’s intensity while filming (sic)."

"It was wonderful to reconnect with Seema Biswas after so many years at the Indian International Film Festival in Goa. It's peculiar that the intensity we felt while making that film still lingers within me. I can only speculate how Seema must have felt during filming, or what she endured to portray her role with such remarkable intensity!" the director of 'Masoom' remarked.

Shekhar confessed that the memories from making 'Bandit Queen' still leave him feeling traumatized, making the meeting with Seema a challenging one, though she helped to put him at ease.

He noted, "So being casual with Seema wasn't easy. She had to, as seen in the picture, help me relax... I can still sense, feel, and often find myself traumatized by the memories of making Bandit Queen."

When asked by fans about his plans to create another film similar to 'Bandit Queen', he responded, "Never, I hope."

He further remarked, "With every film I create, I embody each character... I become the narrative... I become the landscape... I become the film itself."

Shekhar concluded his post by stating, "Well, who ever said filmmaking was an easy task... perhaps I should have pursued a career as a Chartered Accountant?"
