Chennai, Sep 11 (NationPress) The production team behind director Unni Sivalingam's much-anticipated Malayalam sports action drama 'Balti', starring Shane Nigam in the leading role, has unveiled the character look of Shiva Hariharan. He is set to portray a character named Ramesh in this exciting sports narrative.

Shane Nigam took to his social media platforms to share the poster of his co-star, stating, "@shivahariharanofficial as Ramesh...!!! @baltimovie. A Sai Abhyankkar musical!"

The film has garnered significant buzz among enthusiasts and critics alike, initially planned for a global release on August 29 for the Onam festival. However, the launch has now been rescheduled to September 26.

In 'Balti', Shane Nigam plays a daring Kabaddi player named Udhayan, who becomes a formidable raider, instilling fear in the defensive line-ups of rival teams. Notably, this film marks an important milestone for Shane Nigam as it represents his 25th cinematic venture.

Joining Shane in the film are actors Preethi Asrani and Shanthanu Baghyaraj, who play crucial roles. Furthermore, the film will feature Alphonse Puthren, celebrated for directing the hit movie Premam, in the role of a cold-hearted gangster named Soda Babu.

Shanthanu Baghyaraj appears as Kumar, while Selvaraghavan takes on the character of Porthamarai Bhairavan. The film, crafted by Unni Sivalingam, is produced by Santhosh T Kuruvilla and Binu George Alexander under the banners of STK Frames and Binu George Alexander Productions.

Cinematography is managed by Alex J Pulickal, with Ashik S overseeing art direction. The film's soundtrack is composed by the talented Sai Abhyankkar. Editing is handled by Shivkumar V.Panicker, with Melwy J designing the costumes. The action-packed film features two stunt masters, Action Sandhosh and Vicky.
