Chennai, Aug 11 (NationPress) One of Tamil cinema's most promising talents, actor Arjun Das, was quick to respond positively upon seeing actor Shanthanu Baghyaraj's impressive first look in director Unni Sivalingam's forthcoming Malayalam sports action drama Balti, describing it as "Killer".
The production team behind Balti, which stars actor Shane Nigam in the lead role, unveiled the first look of Tamil actor Shanthanu Baghyaraj, who portrays a character named Kumar in the film.
In addition, they shared a video clip offering a sneak peek of Shanthanu's character.
Impressed by the portrayal, Arjun Das took to X to extend his congratulations to Shanthanu. Along with the video and the first look poster, Arjun Das expressed, "This looks killer! Wishing you the very best @imKBRshanthnu bro #BALTI".
The film has generated significant buzz among fans and cinephiles, set to release globally on August 29, coinciding with Onam celebrations this year.
Shane Nigam embodies a Kabaddi player named Udhayan in the movie. This sports drama will focus on the game of Kabaddi, showcasing Shane Nigam as a fearless raider who instills fear in the rival teams’ defenses. Notably, this film marks a milestone in Shane Nigam's career as his 25th project.
Alongside Shane Nigam, the film features actors Preethi Asrani and Shanthanu Baghyaraj in critical roles. Moreover, it will include director Alphonse Puthren, renowned for the blockbuster Premam, portraying a ruthless gangster named Soda Babu.
Written and helmed by Unni Sivalingam, the film is produced by Santhosh T Kuruvilla and Binu George Alexander under the banners of STK Frames and Binu George Alexander Productions, respectively.
