On his Instagram, Arya shared a photo of himself working hard at the gym, captioning, "Rain stops.. Shoot Resumes... but Training Continues.. #vettuvam Climax @ranjithpa"
The film, produced by Ranjith's own Neelam Productions, features Dinesh as the lead, alongside Arya. It also includes performances from actors Kalaiyarasan, Mime Gopi, Guru Somasundaram, and Shabeer Kallarakkal in significant roles.
Another point of interest is that this is actress Sobhita Dhulipala's first Tamil film after her marriage. Vettuvam, which addresses the dynamics of power sharing, has music composed by G V Prakash.
The film drew attention in July when a stuntman tragically died during a car stunt. This incident left the cast and crew in shock and mourning. The well-known Tamil director Pa Ranjith's production house, Neelam Productions, expressed their heartbreak over the loss of their beloved stuntman.
In a statement, Ranjith's production team said, "On the morning of July 13, we unexpectedly lost a talented stunt artist and long-time colleague, Mohan Raj, on the sets of 'Vettuvam' in the Nagapattinam district of Tamil Nadu. Our hearts go out to his wife, children, and all who knew and loved him as a colleague and friend."
The production house acknowledged the profound shock and grief experienced by the team, stating that a day meant to be meticulously planned ended in tragedy.
They added, "Mohan Raj was respected and valued by colleagues and the entire crew. Despite our strict adherence to safety protocols and detailed planning, the unexpected loss of such an experienced and accomplished stunt artist has deeply impacted us. He will always be remembered with respect and admiration."
The production team noted that they mourn the loss of Mohan Raj not just as a stunt artist but as a husband, father, and an outstanding human being.
"He wanted to be remembered for his exceptional work as a stunt artist, and that’s how he will remain in our memories," they concluded.
