Mumbai, Dec 21 (NationPress) Actress Shruti Haasan has withdrawn from Adivi Sesh's anticipated project, 'Dacoit', pointing to 'unpleasant work environment' as the main reason for her departure.
Initially, there were multiple reports suggesting that Shruti exited 'Dacoit' due to a scheduling clash with her other film, Coolie. However, a source close to the situation dismissed this claim. An insider mentioned, 'Shruti Haasan filmed the teaser for the movie last year, and since then, the shooting schedule has been constantly altered. Certain scenes were re-shot multiple times. The other actor involved was too engaged in the script, and at times, there were two directors, which became quite confusing.'
'Despite her eagerness to explore a new facet of her acting and collaborate with the original director, Shruti found the excessive involvement of her co-star uncomfortable, creating a challenging work environment for her.' the source elaborated.
On December 17, the team behind 'Dacoit' unveiled Mrunal Thakur as a cast member, releasing a special poster and teaser to celebrate the announcement. This revelation instantly piqued the interest of fans, who were keen to learn the reasons behind Shruti Haasan's exit from the film. The newly shared poster featuring Adivi Sesh and Mrunal quickly gained traction online.
Reports indicate that Haasan's departure from 'Dacoit' stemmed from creative disagreements and on-set inconveniences that swayed her decision. Additionally, some sources allege that scheduling conflicts contributed to her exit.
Director Shaneil Deo's 'Dacoit: A Love Story' is an action-packed drama featuring Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur. The two will portray estranged lovers who engage in a series of heists, a journey that ultimately alters their lives.
In the meantime, the 'Ramaiya Vastavaiya' actress is currently occupied filming for director Lokesh Kanagaraj's Coolie, which stars Rajinikanth. Following 'Coolie', Shruti is slated to begin shooting for Prabhas's forthcoming film, 'Salaar: Part 2 - Shouryanga Parvam'. In addition to these, the actress has a project named 'Chennai Story' on the horizon.
