Why Shweta Tripathi Refuses to Compare Her Roles
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Mumbai, March 31 (NationPress) Actress Shweta Tripathi, celebrated for her roles in 'Masaan' and the gripping crime series 'Mirzapur', is not one to engage in comparisons.
During her appearance at the International Film Festival Delhi (IFFD) 2026 in the capital on Tuesday, she took the time to converse with the press and expressed her aversion to comparing her roles.
She remarked, “Just as there should be no rivalry among your children, you shouldn’t be selective; your characters are similar in nature, with each project holding its uniqueness. Thus, comparisons are futile. In fact, I believe that comparison, not only among my characters but in life, lacks value for me.”
Previously, the actress journeyed to Amsterdam to experience a live concert by the renowned Oscar and Grammy-winning composer Hans Zimmer. Attending this concert was a long-held dream for her, as Zimmer is credited with transforming Hollywood's musical landscape and enriching narratives through his compositions. For Shweta, film scores transcend mere background noise; they often linger in her mind long after the credits roll, thanks to visionaries like him.
Zimmer’s compositions, particularly his iconic scores for films such as 'Dune', 'Interstellar', and 'The Dark Knight', have consistently accompanied her throughout her acting career.
Reflecting on this experience, she previously stated, “His music resonates with me long after a film concludes. There’s an authenticity and profundity in his work that strikes a chord emotionally. As an actor and student of cinema, I’m naturally drawn to anything that enhances my understanding of emotion, and his music achieves that quietly, without the need for words. Attending his live performance is the most immediate way to feel that energy.”
The concert also provided her with a chance to break away from daily routines and simply absorb the experience without overanalyzing it.
“Music plays a pivotal role in shaping emotions and storytelling, and witnessing it come to life like this is significant,” she concluded.
