Chennai, Oct 15 (NationPress) Actor Simbu, who takes on the main role in director Vetrimaaran's highly anticipated film 'Arasan', urged his fans on Wednesday to experience the film's promo in theatres, emphasizing it would be "worth it".

For those who may not know, the promo is set to debut on Thursday at 6:02 PM.

In a post on his X timeline, Simbu shared, "My Dear bloods! Just watched #Vetrimaaran sir’s #ARASANPromo theatrical version with MUSIC. Na solren, Time kedacha theatre la pathudunga. (I’m telling you, if you get the time, watch it in a theatre.) Don’t miss the Theatrical experience. Worth it!"

The film has generated significant excitement since its announcement, particularly after the title was revealed as 'Arasan'.

Producer Kalaipuli S Thanu, whose V Creations is behind the film, took to his X timeline to share the news.

He wrote in Tamil, "Aalapirandha Arasan, Vetriyudan Silambarasan. #VetriMaaran @SilambarasanTR_ #STR49 #SilambarasanTR #VCreations47 #ARASAN. (The king who was born to rule! Victorious Silambarasan!)."

The announcement of the title has quelled rumors regarding the film being shelved.

Previously, IANS reported that the project was indeed moving forward despite speculation to the contrary, confirming that it had not been shelved. This news followed earlier reports claiming financial difficulties might lead to its cancellation.

Rumors began circulating due to alleged financial obstacles and external pressure to halt the project. However, sources informed IANS that shooting would proceed and that Silambarasan TR had chosen a profit-sharing arrangement instead of upfront payment.

Vetrimaran's film starring Simbu will also include Andrea Jeremiah, Samuthirakani, and Kishore in significant roles.

Additionally, director Vetrimaran recently addressed rumors regarding a sequel to his much-anticipated film 'Vada Chennai'. He clarified that while his next film will star Simbu, it will not be 'Vada Chennai 2', despite media speculation, although the narrative will be set within the universe of 'Vada Chennai.'

In a prior interview on his YouTube channel, Vetrimaran detailed 'Arasan', stating, "My next film is to be produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu and will feature Simbu in the lead."

He dismissed speculation that this collaboration with Simbu was 'Vada Chennai 2', saying, "There is a lot of speculation if this will be 'Vada Chennai 2'. I want to clear that speculation as well. This is not 'Vada Chennai 2'. What Dhanush acts in will be 'Vada Chennai 2'. However, this story will also be set in the world of 'Vada Chennai', meaning certain elements of that world will be present in this narrative too. The story will follow a similar timeline."
