Mumbai, Dec 15 (NationPress) Actress and politician Smriti Irani has praised Akshaye Khanna for his remarkable performance in the film Dhurandhar.

On her social media, she shared a humorous scene from Tees Maar Khan, featuring Akshay Kumar and Akshaye Khanna, stating, “When Akshaye Khanna has exceeded all expectations & you too feel like shouting… de do Oscar #dhurandhar.”

The amusing video clip that Smriti posted shows Akshay Kumar’s character filled with enthusiasm while calling for an Oscar for Atish Kapoor, portrayed by Akshaye Khanna. Smriti has been thoroughly impressed with Dhurandhar. Previously, she had also taken to her social media to commend the film and its entire crew. She shared a collage of the main cast including Sanjay Dutt, Ranveer Singh, R Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, director Aditya Dhar, and actor Arjun Rampal, noting the heartwarming essence of the film.

She expressed, “If you have gazed into the eyes of a fallen soldier’s wife & accompanied her to the cremation ground, visited the Jagti camp in Jammu, seen the abandoned temple grounds of Sharika Devi in Srinagar, met those who were on duty during the Parliament attack or have family that survived the 26/11 Mumbai attack, then nothing in Dhurandhar should incite outrage; after all, it’s merely a film.”

Irani also commended Aditya Dhar for his directorial efforts, stating, “As a storyteller, @adityadharfilms is a master craftsman; as a research enthusiast, even more so. The tremor on his face as he reveals a deceased son makes Akshaye Khanna’s performance a lesson in artistry, and @ranveersingh’s expressive eyes that communicate without words are essential viewing for anyone dedicated to crafting a legacy, while @rampal72’s menacing portrayal is a true revelation.”

She further praised the film's music, saying, “And the music—wow!
