Mumbai, Nov 26 (NationPress) Actress Soha Ali Khan has expressed her deep concern regarding the deteriorating air quality, as the AQI in numerous cities reaches alarming levels.
In her Instagram stories, Soha posted a photograph of the sky adorned with a “toxic” sticker, emphasizing the critical need for systemic changes to tackle pollution.
She stated: “The AQI is at a severe level. Almost and rising. We are inhaling toxic fumes. Can we please implement some systemic changes to address this??”
Air quality in Delhi and Mumbai has been categorized as ‘very poor’ and “poor” respectively.
A light fog settled over India Gate and Kartavya Path around 7:40 a.m., where visibility was significantly reduced, and the Air Quality Index (AQI) was around 350, indicating very poor conditions.
Data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) revealed that Delhi’s overall AQI was at 337, showing only a slight improvement since Tuesday. Among the 39 monitoring stations in the national capital, 34 indicated ‘very poor’ air quality, while five reported ‘poor’ levels. Six stations in Mumbai recorded AQI values exceeding 200 — dropping from the “moderate” to “poor” category.
