Sonakshi and Zaheer tied the knot on June 23 in Mumbai after a romantic relationship spanning 7 years. They first crossed paths at a party hosted by Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. Interestingly, both began their careers under his guidance.
While Sonakshi debuted opposite Salman in the blockbuster film ‘Dabangg’, Zaheer made his entrance in the industry with Salman Khan’s production ‘Notebook’. The couple reportedly dated for 7 years and lived together for a year before their wedding. Their ceremony was followed by an extravagant reception attended by numerous Bollywood stars including Salman Khan, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Kajol, Tabu, Yo Yo Honey Singh, and others.
Zaheer, who debuted as an actor in 2019, comes from a family with business interests in jewellery and real estate, and his father Iqbal Ratansi is a childhood friend of Salman Khan, which explains Zaheer's debut under Salman Khan Films.
On the professional front, the actress is poised to star alongside her husband in ‘Tu Hai Meri Kiran’. The couple has previously collaborated on the film ‘Double XL’, featuring Huma Qureshi as well, and a music video titled ‘Blockbuster’.
