Reflecting on the title track of “Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo”, which features Salman Khan, Sonam noted that the film is celebrating a decade in Hindi cinema. The narrative follows Prem, who resembles Prince Yuvraj Vijay Singh and takes his place just before the coronation, despite the princess Maithili's engagement to Vijay. She ultimately falls for Prem.
Sonam expressed: “I still remember when the title track of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo was launched—what an incredible time! The Dubsmash videos were everywhere. It truly broke the internet.”
She reminisced about the joy of filming the track.
“It genuinely feels like it was just yesterday. I’m so grateful that people continue to cherish the song... it means so much to me!” the actress shared.
On the topic of “Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai”, from the 2014 film “Khoobsurat”, Sonam revealed that it has consistently been one of her favorite tracks, featuring the rapper Badshah.
“This has always been one of my favorite songs from my career—and it’s still a staple in my dance playlist!” Sonam remarked.
She continued, “I remember having a blast filming the music video. It fills me with joy that this song remains a beloved party anthem even now.”
Directed by Shashanka Ghosh, the film also stars Fawad Khan, Kirron Kher, Ratna Pathak, and Aamir Raza Hussain. Loosely based on the 1980 film of the same name, it tells the story of a quirky physiotherapist, Milli, who works for a royal family that is emotionally distant. She eventually discovers more about them and falls for the young prince who is already engaged.
