Mumbai, May 21 (NationPress) Srishty Rode and Ankur Nayyar are gearing up to appear in the psychological thriller series, Mona Ki Manohar Kahaniyaan, which is set to premiere on May 22.
Making her debut in streaming, Srishty shared: “Portraying Mona, particularly delving into her psyche, was a thrilling challenge. She possesses a seductive quality without effort, is shrouded in secrecy, and is manipulative in ways that even astonished me.
Srishty expressed her admiration for strong, complex female characters like Taapsee Pannu in Haseen Dillruba and Priyanka Chopra in 7 Khoon Maaf.
“Infusing that energy into Mona has made this the most thrilling – and bold – role of my career. Mona Ki Manohar Kahaniyaan is packed with dark twists and compelling storytelling, and I genuinely believe that Mona’s captivating yet enigmatic tales will keep the audience engaged until the very last moment,” she added.
The psychological thriller kicks off with a series of brutal murders, leading to an intense interrogation that's anything but simple. It revolves around Inspector Pawan, played by Ankur, who begins questioning Mona, portrayed by Srishty, as a key suspect in what initially appears to be a routine inquiry.
Ankur noted, “Pawan starts off thinking he has the upper hand in the interrogation, but Mona shifts that power dynamic in the most unforeseen ways. The tension between them is more psychological than physical, making it a guessing game until the very end.”
Working alongside Srishty was a remarkable experience for Ankur.
He commented: “She introduced so much unpredictability to Mona that each scene felt like a mental battle. This isn’t just a straightforward cat-and-mouse chase; it’s a slow burn where reality blurs with fiction.”
Mona Ki Manohar Kahaniyaan will be available for streaming on Hungama OTT starting May 22.
