Chennai, Sep 20 (NationPress) The team behind the much-anticipated film 'Idli Kadai,' directed and starred by Dhanush, has unveiled a captivating trailer that has thrilled both fans and cinema enthusiasts alike. The film stars Dhanush alongside Nithya Menen in prominent roles.

Dhanush took to social media to share the links to the trailer in both Tamil and Telugu, captioning it with 'Idli Kadai trailer.'

The trailer provides a glimpse into Dhanush's character, Murugan, who comes from modest beginnings. His father, Rajkiran, runs a small yet cherished idly shop in their village. When young Murugan persuades his father to invest in a grinding machine, his father replies, 'A machine can do anything but it lacks the practiced touch of a human hand. That comes from the human heart.' This instills in Murugan a lifelong belief in the importance of passion in one’s work.

As the story progresses, we witness Arun Vijay, the heir to a large corporation, where Murugan is now employed, leading to a 15% increase in profits since his arrival.

However, Murugan's father fears for the future of their shop, while his mother has faith that her son will eventually return to their roots. When Murugan decides to go back to the idly shop, it creates tension with Arun Vijay, setting the stage for the film’s main conflict.

Dhanush previously mentioned that 'Idli Kadai' holds personal significance for him, revealing that for the first time, his grandmother has acted in one of his films.

He elaborated on the film's core message, emphasizing the necessity of staying connected to one’s origins. 'What defines your identity? Excelling in studies and securing a job is just part of it. Our true identity lies in our ancestral roots.

He continued, 'Our ancestors' lives should not fade away. They must remain alive as memories for future generations.' He drew a parallel, stating, 'Just as a bird returns to its nest after foraging, we too must remember our past, regardless of where our careers may take us. This is the essence of 'Idli Kadai.'

Initially slated for release on April 10, 'Idli Kadai' is now set to premiere worldwide on October 1, as announced by Dawn Pictures, one of the producing studios.

Reports suggest that Arun Vijay plays the antagonist, making the confrontation between Dhanush and Arun Vijay a highly anticipated highlight of the film.

Additionally, Shalini Pandey is confirmed to have a significant role, as speculated by various media outlets.
