Mumbai, April 16 (NationPress) Actress and comedian Sugandha Mishra is poised to portray Suman Gadhiya in the series ‘Wagle Ki Duniya’, describing her character as quirky, unpredictable, and filled with numerous layers.
Sugandha expressed, "I instantly fell in love with Suman’s character. She’s quirky, unpredictable, and comes with so many layers; it’s a role that allows for fun while constantly surprising oneself.”
Her character is an eccentric, overly dramatic woman with a talent for theatrics and manipulation. Suman, who collaborates with Yamini, played by Manasi Joshi, on a drama show, explains her motives for moving in for research, stating she wishes to observe and learn how to depict a middle-class woman for a future role.
Using her charm to persuade Yamini, she successfully secures a temporary stay at Sai Darshan Society.
She elaborated, “I’ve always harbored a bit of a drama queen within me, so stepping into Suman’s shoes felt remarkably natural. The challenge, though exciting, was that I had the opportunity to engage in intense, emotional scenes for the first time.”
“Collaborating with Bharti Achrekar ji, a true legend, was both daunting and inspiring. The entire team enveloped me in warmth, support, and encouragement throughout this journey.”
Sumeet Raghvan, who plays Rajesh Wagle, remarked, "Rajesh is a character who believes in doing what’s right even when no one’s watching—so being falsely accused of something so serious represents a significant emotional shift, not just for him but for the whole family. The show beautifully addresses this storyline, showcasing both the turmoil and the strength of relationships and truth.”
He described working with Sugandha as an “absolute delight.”
Sumeet continued, “She infused energy into the set and truly embodied Suman. Behind the scenes, we shared many laughs, but during the emotional moments on-screen, she matched the tone perfectly.”
“Wagle Ki Duniya - Nayi Peedi Naye Kissey” is broadcast on Sony SAB.
