Mumbai, July 25 (NationPress) Actor Suniel Shetty engaged in some thrilling action sequences in the newly launched web series, "Hunter Season 2".
In a candid interview with IANS, he emphasized the need for enhanced safety measures for stunt professionals during filming.
He advocated for the film industry to be recognized as an official industry, stating, "To begin with, the film sector should be regarded as a legitimate industry - it requires that recognition. Unlike other sectors, we lack essential benefits. Insurance is crucial, and establishing training academies for action skills is vital. Action directors must be properly licensed and certified, and safety gear is non-negotiable. Rushing to complete scenes because of impending release dates is an issue that must be addressed."
Suniel noted that action sequences should be executed with a calm approach, and that the onus lies on the producers and directors to prioritize safety.
"If we remain mindful of these finer details, it can lead to significant improvements," he remarked.
He also shared his own awareness during action sequences, expressing concern not for himself, but for the safety of all involved.
Recently, the Tamil film stunt trainer, Mohanraj, tragically passed away while filming a scene in Pa Ranjith's "Vettuvam". Reports indicate the incident occurred during a car overturning scene featuring Arya.
Meanwhile, Suniel, who portrays ACP Vikram in the series, reflected on his character, stating, "Season 1 was remarkable. It had the excitement of discovery—of this universe and Vikram’s journey. The audience witnessed his struggle to escape from his past while seeking justice. In Season 2, however, that past resurfaces in unimaginable ways. Vikram is tested to his limits. He’s a father on a mission with everything at stake. This chapter was particularly demanding for me, and I believe that truth will resonate profoundly on screen."
