Sunita Ahuja, wife of Bollywood actor Govinda, was spotted arriving at the Bandra Family Court in Mumbai on Wednesday, 19 August, accompanied by their son Yashvardhan Ahuja, as the couple's very public marital dispute continues to draw attention.

Yashvardhan Loses Patience With Paparazzi

Yashvardhan appeared visibly agitated as photographers trailed the mother-son duo outside the court. He stepped in to confront the paparazzi, asking them to clear the way and stop hounding his mother. When reporters pressed him on what transpired inside, he curtly replied, 'Nothing.' Sunita, for her part, offered a sardonic response, saying, 'Birthday manane aaye the' — loosely translated as 'Had come to celebrate a birthday.'

Sunita was dressed in a light pink shirt paired with black trousers, while Yashvardhan wore a white shirt, grey trousers, and blue sneakers.

The couple's tensions spilled into the public domain after Govinda was photographed at an airport alongside Komal Rani Swarnkar, his co-star in the upcoming film 'Roopa'. Sunita reacted sharply, referring to Govinda as a 'sugar daddy' and alleging he was 'going around with a girl who is the same age as his daughter.' She also directed a remark at Komal, telling her to 'dress properly.'

Notably, there has been no confirmation of any romantic relationship between Govinda and Komal. Govinda has maintained that his association with younger actresses is entirely professional, pointing out that age gaps between lead actors and actresses are not unusual in Bollywood.

Govinda issued a video response, urging Sunita not to interfere with his professional work or make public statements that could damage his reputation and business. He also objected to what he described as her use of abusive language involving mothers and sisters, cautioning that public figures influence younger audiences. He asked her to refrain from excessive swearing in public.

Sunita has previously spoken openly about difficulties in the marriage, including allegations of affairs. Reports indicate she filed a divorce petition at the Bandra Family Court in December 2024, reportedly citing cruelty, adultery, and desertion as grounds — though these claims have not been officially confirmed in court. However, the couple made a joint public appearance during Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations months later, with both stating that no one could break their bond.
