Actor-comedian Krushna Abhishek firmly drew a line with the paparazzi at Mumbai airport on Monday, 24 August, asking them not to raise questions about his uncle, actor Govinda, as he and The Great Indian Kapil Show co-star Kiku Sharda departed for an event in Udaipur. The request came against the backdrop of mounting media attention on Govinda's strained relationship with wife Sunita Ahuja.

Krushna's Message to the Media

When photographers attempted to draw Krushna into questions about his family's ongoing personal controversy, he politely but firmly redirected them. 'Masti ke sawal poochhna, mama ka koi sawal mat poochhna. Maine dekha bahut footage lag raha hai hamare ghar ki baat par se,' Krushna said — roughly translating to: 'Ask light and fun questions. Do not ask any questions on Mama. I have been seeing everybody is taking footage from our personal issues.'

Krushna was dressed in a casual all-black look — a black hoodie, white trousers, and black-and-green sneakers, finished with tinted sunglasses. Kiku Sharda complemented the casual mood in a denim-on-denim ensemble: a faded blue denim shirt, matching jeans, and black shoes.

The Govinda-Sunita Ahuja Controversy

The family dispute that Krushna sought to keep out of the spotlight has been escalating for weeks. Sunita Ahuja publicly alleged that Govinda was having an affair with actress Komal Rani Swarnkar, his co-star in an upcoming film, describing the dynamic with the phrase 'sugar daddy' in a pointed social media reaction. Govinda subsequently responded to the allegations, warning Sunita of consequences if she continued to, in his words, defame him.

Govinda's manager Shashi Sinha denied reports that the actor was planning to marry Komal Rani Swarnkar, calling such claims false.

Divorce Case Filed and Withdrawn

The marital discord reportedly escalated to legal proceedings, with Sunita allegedly filing a divorce petition against Govinda over infidelity allegations. However, in a development that surprised many observers, Govinda's manager confirmed on 19 August that Sunita had withdrawn the divorce case. Amid the swirl of reports and social media commentary, Govinda has issued a formal public notice warning against the circulation of false or defamatory content concerning him and his family, reportedly threatening legal action against those spreading such material.
