Is Surbhi Chandna Longing for Mumbai's Vada Pao While Abroad?
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Mumbai, Jan 4 (NationPress) In a classic Mumbaikar fashion, actress Surbhi Chandna is feeling nostalgic for Vada Pao while on her journey abroad.
In a recent Instagram update, Surbhi shared that after a span of 15 days outside India, she's yearning for the iconic traffic Vada Pao and other distinctive delights that her hometown offers.
She creatively referenced a dialogue from actor Suniel Shetty's 2006 romantic comedy, "Shaadi Se Pehle", featuring Akshay Khanna, Ayesha Takia, Mallika Sherawat, and Aftab Shivdasani.
The video showcases Surbhi voicing her eagerness to return to her beloved city and savor its incredible attractions.
"Day 15 abroad and you are craving Traffic Vada Pao & Khadde," the video overlay text stated.
In the original dialogue, Shetty's character expresses his yearning for Mumbai.
"When it Finally Hits You...Mumbai (Pink heart emoji) Vada Pao Teri Yaad Aa Gayi (sic)," Surbhi captioned her post.
On a different note, Surbhi recently shared insights about her time on Naagin, admitting that she didn't immediately agree to join the show.
During an appearance on actress Rashami Desai's talk show, Surbhi expressed her long-standing desire to collaborate with renowned producer Ekta Kapoor, which ultimately led her to take on Naagin.
"I don't fit the criteria... I told them I was eager to work with Balaji but preferred a different show. They asked me to consider it and I requested some time. They initially planned to start with another actor, then came the reincarnation storyline, which ultimately brought my role in the series as the Naagin, and that’s when I jumped into action," Surbhi revealed.
Rashami humorously pointed out a light-hearted downside of being associated with Naagin, saying, "Kids come up to you and say, ‘Aunty, Naagin ban ke dikhao na.'"
