Chennai, Sep 26 (NationPress) Diya Suriya, the daughter of renowned actors Suriya and Jyothika, has officially stepped into the director's shoes with a docu-drama named 'Leading Light'.
In a fascinating twist, the 17-year-old's debut project is backed by her parents, Suriya and Jyothika, under their production house, 2D Entertainment.
Insiders reveal that this docu-drama centers around the lives of female gaffers in Bollywood. It brings to light the untold narratives of women working behind the camera as light-women in the film industry, merging elements of documentary and drama.
'Leading Light' is currently being showcased at the Oscar Qualifying Run at Regency Theatre in Los Angeles, California. The screenings are scheduled from September 26 to October 2, with daily shows at 12:00 PM.
This 13-minute docu-drama includes intimate interviews with three trailblazing women in the industry.
