Chennai, December 7 (NationPress) The highly anticipated project directed by Jithu Madhavan, featuring Suriya in the leading role, officially commenced production with a traditional pooja ceremony here in the city on Sunday.

The film, tentatively titled Suriya 47, is being produced by Zhagaram Studios. The launch event saw attendance from the film's cast, crew, and numerous esteemed industry supporters.

This project has generated significant buzz throughout the year, with fans expressing immense excitement ever since the collaboration between Suriya and Jithu Madhavan was first announced.

The pooja ceremony united the entire team, which includes actors Nazriya Nazim, Naslen, Anandraj, music director Sushin Shyam, and other key cast and crew members.

Notable attendees included actress Jyotika, who is producing the film, along with actor Karthi and producers Rajsekar Pandian of 2D Entertainment, S.R. Prakash, and S.R. Prabhu of Dream Warrior Pictures.

Following the pooja, the production team promptly began filming, marking the start of the first schedule.

Director Jithu Madhavan expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “A new industry, a new beginning, especially with a star like Suriya, brings additional excitement. We are striving to deliver something fresh, and I hope the audience embraces it.”

Suriya stars in the film, with Nazriya Nazim as the female lead. Rising star Naslen, who has garnered attention from several successful projects, plays a significant role, alongside actors John Vijay and Anandaraj.

The film boasts a talented technical team, with cinematography by Vineeth Unni Palode, music composed by Sushin Shyam, production design by Ashwini Kale, and editing by Ajmal Sabu.

The stunt choreography is handled by Chetan D Souza, adding to the high expectations surrounding this project.
