Mumbai, July 27 (NationPress) Actor Tahir Raj Bhasin has shared insights into his deliberate choice of roles that challenge his limits and facilitate personal growth with each performance.
In a conversation with IANS, the Mardaani star disclosed that consistently pushing his own boundaries forms the essence of his narrative style and character development. When inquired about the Bollywood landscape's capacity to provide transitions for actors who begin as villains to take on heroic roles, Tahir recognized that while his strong antagonist portrayal in Mardaani was significant, the industry is progressively becoming more receptive to diverse casting.
“Indeed. If you’re a talented performer, the distance between being recognized as a ‘good actor’ and a ‘star’ is minimal. My ambition has always been to embody both – to shatter stereotypes, to challenge myself, and to grow with each undertaking,” he stated.
Bhasin continued, “I am committed to breaking stereotypes. I continually seek roles that take me beyond my comfort zone. It’s about reinventing myself with every undertaking. An actor’s duty is to keep evolving, and I’ve been fortunate to collaborate with remarkable directors who have enabled me to achieve that.”
Discussing his latest endeavor, “Special Ops 2,” the actor expressed what inspired him to join the series. “The chance to collaborate with gifted personalities like Neeraj Pandey and K.K. Menon was appealing. I have always favored projects that come with a challenge because I believe acting is akin to a table tennis match. The stronger the opposition, the better your own performance. In Special Ops, the scenes where my character and K.K. Menon’s clash created a unique rivalry that resonated with audiences.”
Created by Neeraj Pandey, “Special Ops” also starred Karan Tacker and Gautami Kapoor. Tahir portrayed an antagonist in this espionage thriller, which premiered on July 18, 2025, on JioHotstar.
