Mumbai, Sep 8 (NationPress) Actor Teja Sajja, who is preparing for the premiere of his forthcoming film ‘Mirai’, has praised the renowned director S. S. Rajamouli for creating opportunities on a global level for a new generation of talent from Indian cinema.
Teja shared his thoughts with IANS at a luxurious hotel in the Juhu district of Mumbai ahead of the film's debut. When asked about the intrinsic culture of ‘Jugaad’ in the Indian subcontinent and its influence on film production in India, he stated, “Necessity is the mother of invention. Our current constraints drive us to create films within limited setups or budgets.”
He added, “Looking ahead, I am confident that after Rajamouli sir's next project, we will have a clearer pathway to present our skills to the global audience, thanks to ‘Baahubali’ and ‘RRR’. They have opened doors to international viewers. Once we see our films being embraced as mainstream entertainment, we will secure larger budgets and create productions that rival global standards.”
‘Mirai’ is a fantasy action-adventure film that showcases Teja in the role of Super Yodha, who is tasked with safeguarding ancient scriptures.
He continued, “We are already making significant strides, producing work that is deeply rooted and meaningful. As Indian cinema, we focus on storytelling that resonates.”
“While I refrain from commenting on Western films, there is an abundance of inspiration we can draw from our itihasas, culture, and heritage to share with global audiences,” he concluded.
Produced by People Media Factory, ‘Mirai’ is set for a worldwide release on September 12, 2025.
