Hyderabad, Oct 8 (NationPress) Renowned costume designer Neeraja Kona is stepping into the director's chair with her debut film 'Telusu Kada', which features leading actors Siddhu Jonnalagadda, Srinidhi Shetty, and Raashi Khanna. She emphasizes that her film will present a character-driven narrative.

During a press conference, Neeraja expressed her enthusiasm about transitioning into a writer and director, stating, "This is a love story revolving around two individuals and is fundamentally character-driven. The three main characters in this film possess great depth. Each character is portrayed with honesty and has an emotional connection. The teaser does not reveal much of the plot, but our trailer will affirm this is a character-focused story."

Neeraja, who has garnered extensive experience in the Tamil and Telugu film sectors, shared her journey of becoming a director.

"Since my school days, I have harbored a passion for writing. I have even published a book of poetry. Storytelling is my forte, and I have received immense support from friends. Eventually, I was convinced that I could craft a screenplay for a film. This is one of the narratives I developed," she shared, acknowledging her lack of experience as an assistant director.

Nonetheless, she noted, "I have designed costumes for nearly 100 films over the span of 12 years, which has been my learning experience."

Recalling the significant moment when Siddhu Jonnalagadda's manager reached out to her about the project, she said, "When I narrated the story to Siddhu garu, he absorbed the entire plot in one sitting. His manager's call confirming our collaboration was a moment I will always cherish."

For those who may not know, 'Telusu Kada' is a romantic musical entertainer produced by People Media Factory and is slated for release on October 17 this year.
