Mumbai, Sep 28 (NationPress) In a tragic turn of events, child television actor Veer Sharma and his older brother, Shaurya Sharma, lost their lives after a fire erupted in their home in Kota during the early hours of Sunday.

Reports indicate that the fire ignited on the fourth floor of their building, where the siblings were left alone at that moment.

The blaze reportedly started in the living area of their flat at the Deepshree building, but fortunately, it did not extend to the other rooms.

According to police accounts, both Veer and Shaurya were asleep when the fire broke out and tragically succumbed to suffocation from the dense smoke.

Neighbors who noticed smoke billowing from the apartment hurried to the scene, breaking down the door in an attempt to rescue the boys.

They were quickly transported to a local hospital; however, they were pronounced dead upon arrival.

Their father, Jitendra Sharma, a teacher at a coaching center in Kota, was attending a bhajan event at the time of the tragedy, while their mother, Rita Sharma, an actress, was in Mumbai.

According to SP Tejeshwani Goutam, a short circuit is believed to have triggered the fire, although the exact cause remains unconfirmed.

He further noted that the living room was completely destroyed, while other sections of the flat showed signs of burning.

The remains of the two boys have been returned to their family after their mother arrived back in Mumbai.

Reports indicate that the children's eyes were donated to the eye bank as per the family's wishes.

An FIR has been lodged under section 194 of the BNSS Act, and a thorough investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the fire that led to the tragic loss of Veer and Shaurya.

Veer is widely recognized for his performances in the shows 'Shrimad Ramayan' and 'Veer Hanuman'.
