Mumbai, June 22 (NationPress) Filmmaker Hansal Mehta believes that the President of the USA, Donald Trump, should receive the Nobel Prize, but not for his contributions to peace; rather, to finally compel him to remain silent.
Recently, Hansal took to his Instagram Stories to share a statement from the POTUS, where he voiced his desire for a Nobel Prize.
In his statement, Trump remarked, “I won’t receive a Nobel Peace Prize for this, nor for halting the conflict between India and Pakistan, or for stopping the tensions between Serbia and Kosovo.”
Trump’s remarks were in response to the recent military tensions between India and Pakistan, alongside the ongoing crisis in North Kosovo. The India-Pakistan tension stemmed from the heinous Pahalgam attack by terrorists backed by Pakistan, while the Serbia-Kosovo conflict revolves around issues related to license plates.
In response to Trump’s comments, Hansal stated, “If receiving a Nobel Peace Prize is what it takes for him to ST*U, then let’s give it to him. It’s a minor price to pay for quieting a relentless motormouth.”
Following Hansal’s criticism, the USA executed airstrikes against Iran targeting its nuclear installations in Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan.
After the airstrikes, Trump stated in a televised address from the Oval Office, “Iran’s critical nuclear enrichment facilities have been entirely and utterly destroyed. The operations were a remarkable military success.”
However, Iran has denied suffering significant damage to its nuclear program and has retaliated by ramping up attacks on Israel. Sirens could be heard across Israel on Sunday as Iran escalated its aerial assaults.
While Israel enjoys the backing of the USA and much of the West, Iran has found allies in Russia, China, and North Korea, although Russia’s stance has been complicated following the recent US strikes on Iran.
