Mumbai, May 6 (NationPress) The legendary actress Zeenat Aman will soon grace our screens as Maji Sahiba in the eagerly anticipated drama, "The Royals". In her recent Instagram update, she expressed gratitude to the entire cast and crew for ensuring her comfort throughout the filming process.
Zeenat shared that her experience on set can be quite taxing due to her age. She stated, "This post is NOT studio-mandated. It’s my honest and earnest appreciation for the teamwork and effort that went into creating The Royals. The truth is that as I get older, shoot schedules leave me exhausted. After a long day of 10 to 12 hours filled with extensive makeup, heavy costumes, intense heat, and busy schedules, I often find myself with swollen ankles and tired eyes. It’s not glamorous, but when I see myself on screen, I realize what a fantastic job the team has done. My character, Maji Sahiba, is just as regal, overbearing, and fierce as intended!"
Praising her co-star, Ishaan Khatter, for his attentiveness during the shoot, Zeenat remarked, "While every cast and crew member contributed to my comfort, I must mention the delightful Mr. Khatter. Despite his rising fame, he consistently checked on my wellbeing—whether it was helping me navigate stairs, bringing me refreshing ginger ale during breaks, or providing cushions for my hard chair during script readings. He embodies the courteousness I thought was long gone."
Impressed by Ishaan's dedication, she added, "I witnessed his remarkable commitment to mastering his horse-riding and dancing skills to truly bring his royal character to life."
Zeenat concluded her post with an encouraging note, "@ishaankhatter, you have a supporter in me, and I wish you all the best for a flourishing career and a fulfilling personal life."
The project, backed by Pritish Nandy Communications, also features Bhumi Pednekar and Sakshi Tanwar in significant roles.
Directed by Priyanka Ghose and Nupur Asthana, "The Royals" is set to premiere on Netflix on May 9.
