Mumbai, June 3 (NationPress) Actor Ishaan Khatter, who recently appeared in the streaming series ‘The Royals’, has discussed his journey of growth while collaborating with esteemed industry veterans like Zeenat Aman and acclaimed Iranian director Majid Majidi.
Ishaan made his cinematic debut in Majidi’s ‘Beyond The Clouds’ and has recently shared the screen with Zeenat Aman in ‘The Royals’.
In a recent conversation with IANS, Ishaan reflected on his experiences working alongside these distinguished artists.
He stated, “I view this as a unique opportunity to learn and absorb their brilliance, hoping some of their genius energy will inspire me. Before I embarked on my artistic journey, I was just a member of the audience, and before that, I was simply an observer. I believe that observation is the foundational step to becoming an artist and an actor.”
The actor further expressed that he feels fortunate to have witnessed the craftsmanship of these veterans, which has significantly shaped his aspirations as an artist.
He remarked, “I was incredibly fortunate to bring those lessons into my first film. Starting with someone like Majid Majidi laid the groundwork for my acting career. He pointed me in the right direction and confirmed that, ‘Yes, this is your path’.”
“The most valuable advice he ever gave me as a performer was, ‘I understand your desire to be a great actor, but prioritize being a good human being first, and everything you aspire for will follow suit.’ I consider myself lucky to have collaborated with such remarkable individuals who are also extraordinary artists,” he added.
‘The Royals’ is currently available for streaming on Netflix.
