Jaipur, Feb 13 (NationPress) Rajasthan's Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari stated on Thursday that artificial intelligence and robotics have brought about a groundbreaking change in the healthcare sector.

“Technologies powered by AI are enhancing the efficiency of disease diagnosis and treatment, ensuring that patients receive prompt and precise medical care. In India, AI is becoming a pivotal force in driving infrastructure and social advancement, especially in healthcare,” she remarked during the inaugural event of Precision-Progress on Robotics & AI, hosted by the Department of Urology at Sawai Mansingh Medical College.

She emphasized that the incorporation of these technologies into ‘Digital India’ is promoting medical innovation, speeding up development, and improving patient services.

Discussing the role of government in AI implementation, she mentioned that both the Central and state administrations are actively utilizing artificial intelligence to bolster the medical industry. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guidance, affordable and accessible healthcare is becoming a reality nationwide.

She further noted that new AIIMS hospitals, medical institutions, dispensaries, and Jan Aushadhi centres are being set up, ensuring high-quality medical services reach every part of India, while research and super-specialty services are being prioritized.

In Rajasthan, the BJP government, under Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, is dedicated to improving healthcare infrastructure.

“The state’s initial budget has earmarked an unprecedented ₹27,000 crore for healthcare advancements. Furthermore, the Chief Minister Ayushman Arogya Yojana, inspired by Ayushman Bharat Yojana, is making treatment for serious illnesses more attainable, reflecting the government’s dedication to quality healthcare for both urban and rural populations,” she asserted.

She expressed her gratitude, congratulating the Urology Department of SMS Medical College for its 50 years of service.

She acknowledged the pioneering efforts of Dr. K.C. Gangwal, recognizing his contributions as a source of inspiration for the medical community.

She also pointed out that the SMS Urology Department holds a distinguished position within India's healthcare system.

The event featured notable figures such as Dr. Mahendra Bhandari, Dr. Shivam Priyadarshi, Dr. Nichiket Vyas, Dr. Neeraj Agarwal, Dr. N.P. Gupta, along with esteemed medical experts from around the globe.
