Do 60 million Baloch people 'deeply appreciate' India's resolve to expose Pakistan?

Quetta, June 3 (NationPress) Renowned Baloch human rights advocate Mir Yar Baloch on Tuesday penned an 'open letter' addressed to the Indian all-party Parliamentary delegations, urging them to prioritize Pakistan's Baloch genocide on their global agenda aimed at revealing Pakistan's cross-border terrorism.

"We, the sixty million Baloch people, sincerely appreciate and applaud your steadfast commitment, national solidarity, and collective initiatives in unveiling Pakistan's cross terrorism and its extensive backing of Jihadists and extremists on the international platform. Your mission, driven by resolve and unity, serves as a beacon of hope for those who have endured long-standing oppression and illegal occupation by Pakistan," the letter stated.

Under the astute leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has successfully united its 1.4 billion citizens into a cohesive and diverse nation. Conversely, Pakistan, characterized as a duplicitous and crafty foe, has continuously attempted to undermine the unity among India, Balochistan, and Afghanistan by weaponizing religion. These endeavors have repeatedly failed," it further noted.

Writing on behalf of the Baloch community, Mir urged the Indian delegations to amplify the plight of the Baloch people due to the atrocities inflicted by Pakistan, the same adversary India has contended with for the past seventy years and which has been tormenting Balochistan since 1948.

"We desire the world to hear our cries; the oppression and cruelty have exceeded all bounds. Sadly, we are now stripped of the freedom to express ourselves. To share our suffering, we have to rely on social media, as our population of sixty million lacks a single national language television channel, a national newspaper, or even a radio station to convey our narratives. In stark contrast, Pakistan's Punjab province operates two hundred TV channels, publishes nine hundred newspapers, and runs hundreds of FM and international frequency radio stations, all financed by plundering our national resources," the letter elaborated.

Expressing gratitude to the Indian delegates for exposing Pakistan on the global stage with compelling evidence, the human rights activist deemed these efforts commendable.

"We believe that more action is necessary. We wish for your delegations to traverse the globe, representing India, and we, the Baloch people, want to collaborate with you in enlightening the world about the ongoing oppression, military operations, and extrajudicial killings in occupied Balochistan," the letter mentioned.

"Both India and Balochistan have endured the ramifications of religious extremism from a common adversary for the past seventy years. With a shared enemy and aligned national interests, we should support one another instead of struggling in isolation. We stand ready to engage with India's foreign delegations to inform them of Pakistan's transgressions in Balochistan, ensuring our contributions assist in bringing Pakistan to justice for its war crimes on the international stage. Your global influence can significantly bolster our initiatives," it further asserted.

Mir also emphasized the military aggression by occupying Pakistani forces leading to the genocide of Baloch people, highlighting that girls and women have been abducted by the Pakistani military and sold in Punjab's markets, thus obliterating their identities.

"Our women human rights defenders are being incarcerated under false charges. Mahrang Baloch, along with thousands of other Baloch activists, is languishing in torture cells. The Pakistani military is disregarding even the orders issued by its own courts to release Mahrang and others," Mir specified.

"Pakistan's intelligence agency, ISI, has subjected approximately 40,000 Baloch to enforced disappearances as collective punishment. Nearly two hundred thousand Baloch have perished during military operations or in custody, with their bodies discarded along roadsides, deserts, forests, and wilderness," he disclosed in his letter.

The leading Baloch human rights advocate called upon the international community to send fact-finding missions to Balochistan to engage with Baloch families and victims to gather independent data. Mir also urged the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to dispatch a team of specialists to Chagai in Pakistan's Balochistan province to evaluate the radioactive contamination resulting from the six nuclear tests conducted in 1998.

"The team should collect samples from the mountains and conduct laboratory tests, while also engaging with thousands of Baloch cancer patients to comprehend their suffering. However, we recognize that Pakistan will likely deny international teams access to Balochistan, as their presence would unveil Pakistan's crimes. Currently, all of Balochistan is suffering from Pakistan's war crimes, with every Baloch household having two to four young men either missing or killed and disposed of in desolate sites," the letter further stated.

In conclusion, we appeal to the international community: today, India and Balochistan confront the oppression and extremism nurtured by Pakistan. If decisive actions are not undertaken against Pakistan, if it is not held accountable for its war crimes, and if its military is not withdrawn."
