Quetta, Sep 1 (NationPress) Prominent Baloch human rights advocate Mir Yar Baloch on Monday condemned Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for labeling the "peaceful and legitimate" Baloch freedom movement as terrorism. He argued that this characterization aims to obscure Pakistan's own war crimes and fulfill the ambitions of its military elite throughout Balochistan.

The activist denounced Sharif's comments made during the 25th Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit in Tianjin, China, referring to them as "deceitful and hypocritical."

"We denounce Pakistan's cynical manipulation of international forums like the SCO to silence authentic Baloch voices. The truth is unmistakable: Pakistan is not merely a victim of terrorism; it is its architect, exporter, and global sponsor. The international community has incontrovertible evidence of Pakistan's blatant involvement in providing sanctuary to Al-Qaeda leadership and backing extremist networks for two decades," Mir stated on X.

He accused Islamabad and Rawalpindi of misleading the world while perpetuating violence and instability from Kabul in Afghanistan to the Kashmir region in India.

"History is unchangeable. On March 27, 1948, Pakistan breached every norm of international law by unlawfully invading the sovereign state of Balochistan," Mir asserted.

He claimed that since that time, Pakistan has emerged as the most significant threat to regional peace and stability. He pointed out that not only has Balochistan been destabilized, but Pakistan has also undermined Afghanistan for fifty years under the guise of a false jihad; India for over seventy years via proxy wars in Kashmir; and has caused suffering in Jordan and Bangladesh, where millions have perished and countless women have faced assault.

He emphasized that these are not simply accusations; they are undeniable crimes for which Pakistan's corrupt military must face accountability.

"In contrast, Balochistan is not a menace but a boon for the world. It is a realm of peace, tolerance, and interfaith harmony, endowed with resources and strategically essential for global trade, energy, and prosperity. While Pakistan exploits Balochistan’s coastline and geography for the benefit of its generals, the people of Balochistan extend a hand of friendship to the international community," Mir highlighted.

On behalf of the Baloch populace, Mir urged China, Russia, India, the United States, Gulf nations, South and Central Asia, African countries, Europe, and the global community to put an end to Pakistan's diplomatic deception and recognize the truth that Pakistan is a failed, landlocked, and fractured state that survives through blackmail and terrorism.

He stated that Balochistan stands prepared to emerge as a responsible partner for peace, stability, and development, urging the global community to prevent Pakistan from hijacking international platforms with falsehoods. He asserted that it is time to acknowledge the independence of Balochistan for the sake of justice, regional stability in South Asia, and global peace and prosperity.
