The diverse outcomes underline the strategic partnership in regional security, socio-economic growth, education, science, and culture, marking a transition to a more dynamic and forward-looking phase in the bilateral relationship between the two nations.
This special economic package incorporates both grants and lines of credit for effective implementation. It includes the construction of a 500-bed national hospital, an AYUSH Centre of Excellence, a veterinary school, an animal hospital, and Mauritius's inaugural Jan Aushadhi Kendra, as reported by India Narrative.
Vital transportation and energy initiatives consist of the modernization of Port Louis, the completion of the SSR Airport control tower, road enhancements, and a 17.5 MW floating solar PV project at Tamarind Falls.
India and Mauritius have also committed to advancing trade in local currencies, building upon the successful introduction of UPI and RuPay cards in Mauritius last year.
