Has the Indian Delegation Concluded a Successful Visit to Japan and Departed for South Korea?

Tokyo, May 24 (NationPress) - The Indian all-party parliamentary delegation, spearheaded by Janata Dal (United) MP Sanjay Jha, has officially left Japan for South Korea after a notably successful visit. During their stay, the delegates reaffirmed India’s strong commitment to zero tolerance for terrorism following the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack.

This delegation is part of India's ongoing global diplomatic initiative, aimed at underscoring the significance of Operation Sindoor and India's steadfast efforts against Pakistan-sponsored cross-border terrorism.

“The All-Party Parliamentary Delegation, led by MP Sanjay Kumar Jha, has concluded their mission in Japan and is now headed to the Republic of Korea. India’s firm resolve against terrorism in all its forms was clearly articulated, highlighting that India has zero tolerance for terrorism, as exemplified by Operation Sindoor. There can be no coexistence of talks and terror,” stated the Embassy of India in Japan on X.

Earlier on the day of departure, the delegation engaged with the Indian community in Japan, emphasizing India’s unwavering policy of zero tolerance towards terrorism and the vital role of the diaspora in disseminating this message throughout Japan.

The visit commenced with floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi. As it drew to a close, the delegates paid respects to Rash Behari Bose, a prominent freedom fighter, at Tama Cemetery in Tokyo, coinciding with his birth anniversary.

The delegation included BJP MPs Aparajita Sarangi and Brij Lal, Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee, CPI(M) Rajya Sabha member John Barittas, and senior Congress leader Salman Khurshid.

This visit marks the commencement of India's unprecedented diplomatic campaign aimed at revealing Pakistan's ongoing involvement in cross-border terrorism, particularly in light of the grave April 22 Pahalgam attack.

“Over the course of their three-day visit to Japan, the delegation engaged in productive discussions with various stakeholders from government, media, and academia. In these meetings, Sanjay Kumar Jha reiterated that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, India is committed to safeguarding every Indian and collaborating with the global community to combat cross-border terrorism,” read a statement from the Indian Embassy in Japan.

“In every meeting, Jha stressed that the Pahalgam attack was a malicious attempt to disrupt peace and development in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Through Operation Sindoor, India responded in a measured, targeted, and non-escalatory manner. He emphasized India's zero tolerance policy towards terrorism and the necessity of treating all terrorists and their supporters equally,” the statement added.

Moreover, the Indian Embassy highlighted Jha's insistence that combating terrorism in all its forms is a national priority for India. He called for Japan’s support in swiftly bringing to justice those responsible for the Pahalgam terror attack.

The Japanese political leadership expressed their solidarity with India's fight against terrorism, affirming the importance of holding perpetrators accountable.
