Jerusalem/Beirut, April 18 (NationPress) The Israeli military has announced that it successfully eliminated a Hezbollah commander through a drone strike in southern Lebanon.
The operation was executed in the Blida region, resulting in the death of Ali Ibar al-Nabi Khadi, who was recognized by the military as the deputy leader of Hezbollah's military base in the Mhaibib area, according to reports from Xinhua news agency.
Additionally, a Lebanese security source, who wished to remain anonymous, confirmed to Xinhua that an Israeli drone strike led to the death of an individual in southern Lebanon on Thursday, identifying him as Ali Abdel Nabi Hijazi, a Hezbollah member hailing from the village of Blida.
This individual was struck while riding a motorcycle in the village of Aitaroun, as reported by Lebanon's Public Health Emergency Operations Centre and security sources to Xinhua.
On the same day, a unit of the Lebanese Army reported the dismantling of an Israeli surveillance device in Blida, cautioning civilians against approaching or handling such devices, which pose significant risks to safety.
Since November 27, 2024, a ceasefire agreement brokered by the US and France has been in place between Hezbollah and Israel, effectively halting over a year of conflicts sparked by the war in the Gaza Strip.
Despite this agreement, the Israeli army continues to conduct strikes in Lebanon, asserting that these actions are aimed at neutralizing threats from Hezbollah.
