New Delhi, Sep 20 (NationPress) The Minister for Information Technology, Communication and Innovation of Mauritius, Dr. Avinash Ramtohul, recently visited the Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT) in India. During his visit, he highlighted the importance of fostering a stronger partnership between the two nations in the fields of emergency alert systems and telecom advancements, according to the Ministry of Communications.
Dr. Ramtohul praised C-DOT’s initiatives in disaster management and cybersecurity. He evaluated the Early Warning System and Cell Broadcast solution developed by C-DOT, expressing his support for its nationwide implementation to effectively warn citizens, particularly those in fishing communities, about imminent natural threats.
C-DOT’s cybersecurity framework features a real-time Security Operations Centre, Quantum Key Distribution, Post-Quantum Cryptography, and SAMVAD-a, a secure messaging and calling platform, as noted by the Ministry.
