Quetta, June 20 (NationPress) A Baloch human rights organization has raised serious alarms over the troubling surge of enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings of Baloch civilians by Pakistani forces.
The Baloch Voice For Justice (BVJ) disclosed that Saifullah, who was taken from Mangochar village in Balochistan on June 11, remains unaccounted for. Furthermore, Shahzaib Ahmed, abducted during Eid festivities, succumbed to severe torture, while another young man is still missing, and one is in critical condition.
“On June 11, Saifullah, son of Raheem Dad Muhammad Shahi, was forcibly disappeared from Mangochar Bazaar and is still missing. Shahzaib Ahmed, a resident of Quetta Killi Qambarani, was abducted from Mangochar on Eid. In custody, he suffered brutal torture, leaving his body marked with burns, broken arms, and grave injuries. Despite receiving medical attention, he died within hours,” stated the BVJ.
The organization emphasized that the crisis of enforced disappearances continues to afflict Balochistan, causing immense distress to families whose loved ones have been missing for years without any resolution or accountability.
