Seoul, Aug 5 (NationPress) South Korea and the United States convened on Tuesday to explore avenues for strengthening their collaboration in the artificial intelligence (AI) domain, as reported by the science ministry.

Science Minister Bae Kyung-hoon engaged with Michael Kratsios, the director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP), in Incheon, situated west of Seoul, to discuss potential expansions in cooperation, according to the Ministry of Science and ICT.

This meeting occurred during the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation 2025 Digital and AI Ministerial Meeting, as per reports from Yonhap news agency.

During the discussions, Bae expressed optimism about initiating a joint bilateral project focused on strategic technology, leveraging the momentum from the forthcoming summit between President Lee Jae Myung and US President Donald Trump.
