"We have initiated our partnership with President Trump’s team and can already perceive that success is within reach. The global community is now looking towards America as a key player capable of both terminating the conflict and ensuring lasting peace thereafter. Prior to the Munich Security Conference, I had a productive discussion with the President of the US, along with a significant meeting with Vice President Vance and Secretary of State Rubio," Zelensky shared on X.
“We are anticipating General Kellogg’s upcoming visit to Ukraine to further evaluate the situation and investigate President Trump’s robust solutions, which have the potential to be genuinely peacemaking. Our teams are diligently working on a special agreement that will certainly enhance the relationship between America and Ukraine. We are dedicated to ensuring its success, just as we have agreed," Zelensky added.
Previously, during his address at the Munich Security Conference, he expressed, "I hope we can genuinely rely on President Trump’s assistance. I sincerely count on him as he is the President of the US."
However, media reports indicate that Zelensky also cautioned that the era of guaranteed US support for Europe has ended. In his speech, he warned, "The old days are gone – when America backed Europe merely out of tradition."
