In the aftermath of the incident, a crowd gathered and placed the deceased's body on NH-19 near Chhata, effectively blocking the heavily trafficked road and causing substantial disruption to traffic flow. The demonstration escalated into violence as the group reportedly engaged in firing, hurled stones at police officers and members of cow protection organizations, and vandalized police vehicles.
Authorities indicated that the situation deteriorated rapidly, instilling fear in the community and causing significant inconvenience for travelers. Additional police units were dispatched to the scene to restore order and clear the thoroughfare.
Responding promptly, the Chhata police initiated a well-coordinated operation resulting in the apprehension of 15 suspects involved in the unrest. These arrests were conducted on Sunday in the Shergarh Tiraha area.
