Agra, June 13 (NationPress) Residents of Agra, Neeraj Lavania and his wife Aparna Lavania, tragically lost their lives in the catastrophic Air India Flight AI-171 crash, which resulted in 241 fatalities. This heart-wrenching news has cast a shadow over their native village, Akola in the Agra district, leaving the community in profound sorrow.
Family members and villagers have been congregating at the Lavania household to express their sympathies. The atmosphere is thick with grief, echoing the deep loss felt by the entire locality.
In a conversation with IANS, Pramod Kumar Sharma, a relative, shared, “He was my uncle’s son. His demeanor was always kind and respectful. The entire village is in disbelief. No one anticipated such a catastrophe. People are arriving from surrounding areas to comfort us. The women of the family are utterly devastated.”
Neeraj’s nephew, Shubham Lavania, expressed, “We are learning about the incident through the media. Only one individual survived the crash. Our family is shattered.”
The Air India Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, destined for London-Gatwick, crashed shortly after departing from Ahmedabad's Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport at around 1:30 p.m. on June 12.
