Jaipur, Dec 11 (NationPress) The All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary (Organisation) K.C. Venugopal, along with AICC Treasurer Ajay Maken, convened an essential meeting with prominent leaders from the Rajasthan Congress to assess preparations for a significant rally set to take place in Delhi on December 14.
The meeting occurred at the Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee (RPCC) War Room on Thursday, where President Govind Singh Dotasra delivered a comprehensive presentation detailing the arrangements made by the RPCC to guarantee the success of the rally. He also updated the leaders on the efforts being conducted by the Congress’ Booth Level Agents (BLAs) under the “Sanvidhan Bachao, Vote Chhor Gaddi Chhod” initiative and the ongoing SIR process.
Moreover, Dotasra shared constituency-specific lists of participants, leaders, and vehicles from all 200 Assembly seats that will contribute to the rally.
During the meeting, state unit chief Govind Singh Dotasra asserted that Rajasthan is poised to witness the highest turnout in the nation, with over 50,000 attendees expected from across the state. He mentioned that lists of participants and vehicles have been compiled from every Assembly constituency.
To facilitate smooth travel and participation, district presidents will coordinate arrangements in their respective areas, supported by RPCC district in-charges.
Dotasra revealed that the RPCC has appointed coordinators in every district, all of whom have conducted district-level Congress meetings. Similarly, Assembly coordinators have organized meetings at the block and mandal levels, preparing detailed lists of participants and vehicles.
All coordinators will be present in their respective districts and Assembly segments from December 12 to December 14 to guarantee seamless execution.
AICC General Secretary (Organisation) K.C. Venugopal assessed the preparations and commended Rajasthan's robust organizational efforts, expressing confidence that the largest contingent for the rally would originate from the state due to its proximity to Delhi.
He urged workers and leaders to arrive at Ramlila Maidan well in advance, warning that BJP governments might attempt to create hurdles for participants. He emphasized that the issue of vote manipulation is not solely a matter for Congress but a national concern, impacting citizens' constitutional right to freely elect their government.
This matter, he added, is garnering widespread national support and raising public awareness about democratic rights. Venugopal mentioned that Congress will amplify its public awareness campaigns, noting that the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, has already presented evidence of vote manipulation in three press conferences, yet the BJP-led Central government and the Election Commission have yet to respond.
AICC Treasurer Ajay Maken remarked that the preparations by the Rajasthan Congress suggest an exceptionally large contingent from the state will participate in the Delhi rally. He stated that the AICC has high hopes for Rajasthan, and the review meeting confirmed the state's full readiness.
He added that his visit to Rajasthan was driven by confidence that the RPCC would leave no stone unturned in ensuring the rally’s success. AICC General Secretary Bhanwar Jitendra Singh, Sachin Pilot, Leader of the Opposition Tikaram Jully, and former State President Dr. C.P. Joshi also addressed the meeting.
The meeting included AICC Rajasthan In-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Co-in-charges Chiranjeev Rao, Rutvik Makwana, and Poonam Paswan, AICC Secretaries Dheeraj Gurjar, Divya Maderna, Rehana Riyaz Chishti, along with other senior state leaders and presidents of frontal organizations. District presidents participated in the meeting digitally via Zoom, providing K.C. Venugopal and Ajay Maken with updates on preparations in their respective districts.
