Bhopal, June 2 (NationPress) As Congress gears up for its Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan (Organisation Creation Campaign) launching on Tuesday, the party announced that over 60 observers appointed by the All India Congress Committee (AICC) will initiate extensive groundwork throughout Madhya Pradesh.
The campaign will be officially launched by Rahul Gandhi, Congress MP and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, during his visit to the state on June 3.
Gandhi is expected to lead significant meetings with members of the state party’s Political Affairs Committee (PAC), current MLAs, former MPs, AICC and PCC members, along with over 50 leaders from other states serving as observers.
“These observers will be stationed in their respective districts for a duration of three months to evaluate the organisational strength at the grassroots level and identify areas for improvement and opportunities,” stated Jitu Patwari, President of the Madhya Pradesh Congress.
“Tomorrow signifies a historic occasion for the Madhya Pradesh Congress, as we unveil a structured action plan for organisational revival, spearheaded by Rahul Gandhi.”
The initiative is already in motion in Vidisha, a BJP stronghold that encompasses constituencies held by Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. In this district, 100-150 specially trained Congress workers are residing in villages, directly interacting with locals to comprehend immediate challenges and formulate revival strategies.
The 15-day field exercise in Vidisha will culminate in a comprehensive report to be submitted to both the state and national leadership. The party aims to reinforce its organisational network from the booth level upwards across all districts and development blocks based on these findings.
“This campaign will span the next three months,” Patwari added.
Simultaneously, Congress is also taking steps to identify and address internal saboteurs alleged to be covertly assisting the ruling BJP.
“Individuals found undermining party interests, down to the development block level, will be expelled,” remarked Umang Singhar, the Leader of Opposition and former minister.
