Mumbai, May 24 (NationPress) The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) national spokesperson Waris Pathan expressed unwavering support for the Government of India’s Operation Sindoor and praised the recent global diplomatic efforts by the all-party Indian parliamentary delegation.
He highlighted that AIMIM and its leader, Asaduddin Owaisi, fully back the government in its mission to eradicate terrorism.
In an interview with IANS, Waris Pathan stated, “During the initial all-party meeting, our party President Asaduddin Owaisi made it clear that we are aligned with the government. Any actions taken to target and eliminate terrorists in Pakistan have our complete support. We have consistently stood with our soldiers and will continue to do so. I commend our courageous Indian soldiers who penetrated Pakistan and dismantled terrorist camps. On the first day of the operation, nine camps were obliterated within just 25 minutes, and over a hundred terrorists were neutralized. This is a remarkable accomplishment, and I am confident that the remaining terrorists will also be eradicated in the near future.”
He endorsed the diplomatic initiative 'Operation Sindoor' that is currently in progress, stating, “The delegation, led by BJP MP Baijayant Jay Panda and including our president Owaisi, has embarked on a diplomatic mission to unveil Pakistan’s support for terrorism. After their visit to Bahrain, the team will also head to Saudi Arabia and Algeria. It is essential for the global community to grasp the role Pakistan has played in promoting terrorism. We have endured immense suffering—whether it was during the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, the Parliament attack, Pulwama, or the recent tragic event in Pahalgam.”
Pathan vehemently condemned the recent incident in Pahalgam, where terrorists targeted innocent tourists.
“The terrorists, supported by Pakistan, inquired about individuals’ religions before executing them in front of their children. This level of savagery is beyond appalling. Their objective is to create discord among Hindus and Muslims and destabilize our nation. It is vital for the world to recognize the extent of Pakistan’s backing for terrorism and the global threat that these terrorist groups pose,” he remarked.
Pathan also responded to AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi's comments regarding the proposed Waqf legislation, asserting that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) could exploit its provisions to contest mosque ownership.
“The All India Muslim Personal Law Board has already asserted that this law, enacted by the Modi government, is unconstitutional. It infringes upon Articles 14, 15, 16, and 29 of the Constitution. We vehemently oppose this 'black law' and support the nationwide protests organized by the All India Muslim Personal Law Board and our party. Protests, rallies, and awareness campaigns are actively underway, and people are being educated about the serious ramifications of this law.”
He mentioned recent protest initiatives, including the 'Batti Gul' campaign, where citizens across the nation turned off lights for 15 minutes in protest.
“This campaign successfully resonated across the country and conveyed a powerful message to Delhi. On the 25th, we will form a human chain, symbolizing unity and resistance. This peaceful protest will illustrate that not only the Muslim community but also our Hindu brothers oppose this unconstitutional law. The government must retract it immediately.”
Pathan criticized Pakistan’s refusal to permit an IndiGo Delhi-Srinagar flight to utilize its airspace during turbulence, endangering the lives of over 200 passengers.
“Pakistan demonstrated a complete lack of humanity by denying access to its airspace even in an emergency. When lives are at stake, politics should not overshadow basic human decency. This disgraceful act reaffirms that humanity holds no value in Pakistan’s decisions,” he concluded.
