New Delhi, June 22 (NationPress) On Sunday, Air India declared a temporary decrease of approximately 5% in its narrowbody flights, following prior reductions made in its widebody international operations due to the unfortunate crash of the airline's Boeing Dreamliner in Ahmedabad.
This decision, which the airline described as “voluntary,” results in the temporary halt of services on three routes along with frequency reductions on 19 other routes. These changes will remain in effect until at least July 15, as per the announcement from the Tata Group airline.
“These adjustments are intended to bolster Air India’s operational stability across the network and minimize last-minute disruptions for passengers,” the airline emphasized.
The routes that will be suspended until July 15 include:
- Bengaluru-Singapore (AI2392/2393) – 7x weekly flights
- Pune-Singapore (AI2111/2110) – 7x weekly flights

Despite these temporary cuts, Air India is set to maintain nearly 600 daily flights using its narrowbody aircraft across 120 domestic and short-haul international routes, according to the airline’s statement.
Air India expressed its regrets to the passengers impacted by these changes and is actively reaching out to affected individuals to provide re-accommodation on alternate flights, complimentary rescheduling, or a full refund as per their preference.
