Allu Arjun and 'Pushpa-2' Team Donate Rs 2 Crore to Family of Stampede Victim

Hyderabad, Dec 25 (NationPress) Actor Allu Arjun, together with the producers and director of 'Pushpa 2: The Rule', has declared a financial aid of Rs 2 crore for the family of the woman who tragically died and her son who was critically hurt during the movie's premiere at Sandhya Theatre on December 4.
Allu Arjun's father, prominent producer Allu Arvind, made this announcement on Wednesday after visiting Sri Teja, who is currently receiving treatment at KIMS Hospital.
Allu Arvind shared with the media that the cheque was delivered to Dil Raju, chairman of the Telangana State Film Development Corporation.
According to Allu Arvind, to assist the boy and his family, the film unit decided on providing Rs 2 crore in financial aid.
Allu Arjun has contributed Rs 1 crore, while Mythri Movies, the film's producers, have offered Rs 50 lakh. Additionally, the film's director, Sukumar, has also donated Rs 50 lakh to the family.
Allu Arvind mentioned that they had discussions with the doctors and were pleased to learn that Sri Teja is on the path to recovery.
Just two days after the incident, Allu Arjun had pledged Rs 25 lakh to the family and assured his support for the boy's medical expenses.
Sri Tej's father, Bhaskar, revealed on Tuesday that he received a demand draft of Rs 10 lakh from Allu Arjun.
Bhaskar also noted that the actor's manager has been in continuous contact with the family to get updates on the boy's health condition.
The family is benefitting from assistance from both the Telangana government and Allu Arjun.
Bhaskar stated that Minister for Roads & Buildings and Cinematography Komatireddy Venkat Reddy handed them a cheque of Rs 25 lakh.
The boy's father further mentioned that after 20 days, they observed some movement from Sri Teja.
"He even opened his eyes but did not recognize any of us," he recounted.
A woman named Revathi lost her life, and her son Sri Tej was gravely injured in the stampede at Sandhya Theatre.
Actor Allu Arjun was taken into custody in connection with the case on December 13 but was released on interim bail the following day.
The Chikkadpally Police registered a case of culpable homicide not amounting to murder and questioned Allu Arjun for over three hours on Tuesday.
