New Delhi, Feb 28 (NationPress) - On Friday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah instructed Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta to formulate a 'Monsoon Action Plan' aimed at addressing the issue of water-logging. He also urged the Delhi Police to intensify efforts against the network of Bangladeshi and Rohingya infiltrators.
In a review meeting regarding Delhi's law and order, HM Shah emphasized that only through collaborative efforts between the Delhi Police and the Delhi government can the city become an exemplary Capital.
Labeling the influx of Bangladeshi and Rohingya intruders as a national security concern, HM Shah mandated their identification and subsequent deportation.
He proposed collaborative initiatives between the police and the Delhi government focused on traffic regulation, bolstering law enforcement infrastructure, empowering women and children, enhancing inter-departmental cooperation, and combating corruption, along with promoting community policing and managing the integration of CCTV systems.
HM Shah instructed that to alleviate traffic congestion resulting from bus failures, the DTC should deploy Quick Response Teams (QRTs) and coordinate with other departments to swiftly address and resolve traffic blockages.
Discussions also encompassed strategies for enhancing the safety of women, children, and the elderly, along with improving overall law enforcement and crime reduction in the capital.
