Amaravati, Dec 17 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu, urged district Collectors on Wednesday to emulate the speed of business operations in the delivery of government services.
In his address at the fifth Collectors' conference held at the Secretariat, he emphasized the need for prioritizing public satisfaction in government services to bolster confidence and trust in the administration. He encouraged Collectors to work diligently to achieve a 15 percent growth rate.
Naidu clarified that mere statistics will not suffice; district Collectors must take action to enhance the satisfaction levels among the public through the rapid provision of services, including addressing grievances.
Identifying Collectors as the government’s representatives, he stated that their performance directly reflects on the government’s reputation.
Delighted to note a 92 percent satisfaction rate in pension distribution, he expressed that Andhra Pradesh should be recognized by other states for its exemplary practices and welfare scheme implementations.
Naidu advocated for a competitive spirit among Collectors regarding performance, as this is a key criterion for the NDA government.
He cited the example of Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, who promptly approved a road project for a remote village following a request from a newly appointed police constable, noting that such quick responses enhance public satisfaction.
Emphasizing the importance of data-driven governance for optimal outcomes, he insisted on accountability and responsibility among officials.
He referenced the revenue department’s operations, stating that accountability would be enforced for every employee using blockchain technology. He set a deadline for making all files and services accessible online by January.
CM Naidu mentioned his focus on data lakes for real-time insights and noted that Google is interested in establishing an AI data center in Visakhapatnam due to the proactive governance in the state. He called upon district Collectors to ensure the successful implementation of projects in their areas.
Earlier, Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand welcomed attendees, highlighting the Collectors' conference's significant role in government performance.
Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, Minister for Revenue Anagani Satyaprasad, and Minister for Finance Payyavula Kesav also addressed the conference.
