Amaravati, Sep 16 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu, urged district Collectors on Tuesday to strive towards achieving a 15 percent growth rate.
For the fiscal year 2024-25, the state recorded a growth rate of 12.02 percent, and the new target should be set at 15 percent, he emphasized.
During his address at the conclusion of a two-day conference attended by Collectors and Superintendents of Police, he pointed out that while some districts have shown promising growth, others lag behind.
He instructed Collectors to concentrate on enhancing the growth rate, creating job opportunities, and improving the satisfaction levels of residents.
Furthermore, he advised SPs to prioritize maintaining law and order in the state and to aim for a 35 percent reduction in crime. He insisted on a transformation within three months.
The Chief Minister stated that the government has ambitious plans for growth, asserting that there should be no compromises in reaching the growth target. He encouraged officials to think innovatively about job creation.
Highlighting the importance of placing the right individuals in key positions, he expressed his commitment to engaging with young IAS and IPS officials to inspire them towards achieving set goals.
“We are in a time of inspiration,” CM Naidu encouraged the officials, urging them to leverage technology for improved results.
He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for implementing GST reforms and expressed the belief that further reforms are essential to make India a global leader. He emphasized the need for product perfection within the country. The Chief Minister reiterated that maintaining law and order is essential for instilling confidence among investors.
He noted that the government is advocating a one family, one entrepreneur initiative by offering skill development training and promoting the work-from-home model. He suggested that officials revamp office environments and focus on implementing rooftop solar energy, including in police facilities, while prioritizing green energy. He encouraged a shift to electric vehicles and stressed the importance of a circular economy, aiming to lower logistics costs through improved infrastructure.
The Chief Minister also highlighted health as a priority, stating that the state government is investing Rs 20,000 crore in health initiatives, emphasizing the need to utilize technology to optimize the budget.
He expressed that it is a collective responsibility to protect handicrafts and support those dependent on them. He advocated for the development of model panchayats in tribal regions to facilitate developmental projects. He also urged excise officials to develop a policy that promotes digital payments to enhance transparency.
