New Delhi, May 30 (NationPress) India stands on the brink of becoming the world’s third-largest economy, and Andhra Pradesh is poised to take a leading role, asserted Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Friday.
In his address at the CII Annual Business Summit, Naidu presented a strategic plan for Andhra Pradesh’s swift economic advancement, targeting an impressive 15 percent annual growth over the next 22 years to aid India's journey towards becoming a developed nation. A key aspect of this vision is to establish the state as a center for next-generation technologies, sustainable energy, logistics, and manufacturing.
He highlighted that Andhra Pradesh is working to integrate ports, airports, railways, and inland waterways to reduce logistics costs from 14 percent to 8 percent of GDP, aligning with international standards.
Naidu, reiterating his dedication to enhancing the ease of doing business, stated: "My pledge: one application, and we’ll manage everything else. All clearances in record time."
He further revealed that the state has successfully attracted Rs 5 lakh crore in investments, creating 4.5 lakh jobs within the last year. Naidu encouraged industry leaders to invest in the state and join in its growth narrative.
He expressed his long-standing belief in developing ecosystems that not only draw investment but also cultivate vision. His goal is to foster not just infrastructure but also leadership—entrepreneurs who create jobs rather than seek them. A Global Leadership Centre is in the works in Amravati to nurture the next generation of global leaders.
The Chief Minister reminisced about India’s pioneering green building in Hyderabad, created in collaboration with the CII. He envisions building Amravati as the next frontier—a greenfield city powered by cutting-edge technologies, including quantum computing, AI, and biotechnology.
He announced that by January 2026, India’s inaugural quantum computing facility will be operational in Amravati, inviting industry leaders to co-create a futuristic, world-class urban ecosystem.
CII President Sanjiv Puri commended Naidu’s forward-thinking vision, stating: "From EoDB to Speed of Doing Business, from PPP to P4, you have always been ahead of the curve." He embraced the concept of integrated rural industrial hubs and sought Naidu’s insights on balancing AI with employment and the path to achieving double-digit growth.
