Is It Time for CM Fadnavis to Remove Five to Six Ministers?

Mumbai, July 22 (NationPress) Shiv Sena(UBT) declared on Tuesday that it is the opportune moment for Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to conduct a cabinet reshuffle, removing five to six ministers embroiled in numerous controversies, including playing rummy, accepting bribes, and becoming victims of a honey trap.

The editorial from the Thackeray faction in the party's publication, 'Saamana', indicated that Union Home Minister Amit Shah is reportedly disturbed by these situations and has issued definitive orders for strict measures to be taken. It further emphasized that the time has come for CM Devendra Fadnavis to reorganize his cabinet by dismissing five to six ministers involved in various scandals.

Shiv Sena(UBT) remarked, “The Maharashtra cabinet comprises diverse personalities. One minister is engaging in rummy within the Assembly, another flaunts a bag brimming with cash while smoking, a third minister is sitting beside Fadnavis after being implicated in the murder of his girlfriend, a fourth is attempting to evade a honey trap in Nashik, and a fifth is himself ensnared in a honey trap while attempting to entrap others.” The editorial has questioned the ethics and morality of several ministers in the government due to their misconduct.

The editorial criticized CM Fadnavis, asserting that his government is a staunch proponent of Hindutva, and suggested that he must have carefully considered the 'Panchang' (Hindu almanac) before assuming power. “Some individuals within the government entered power by performing 'Aghori puja' (rituals to invoke deities) at the Kamakhya temple in Assam, yet they seem to have overlooked the correct timing. Given the ministers' behavior, a cabinet reshuffle is imminent, necessitating the removal of five to six ministers,” the editorial stated.

The Thackeray faction mentioned that discussions regarding the ministers' names are circulating in political circles. “Ministers Sanjay Shirsat, Yogesh Kadam, Manik Kokate, Dada Bhuse, Sanjay Rathod, and several others caught in the honey trap of Nashik must resign. Home Minister Amit Shah has provided clear directives on this matter,” the editorial reiterated.

Furthermore, the editorial has accused some BJP ministers of involvement in the honey trap. The party raised these allegations despite CM Devendra Fadnavis stating in the state Assembly last week that no such honey trap existed. He urged the opposition to refrain from targeting the government with weak claims and instead present solid evidence.

“The police are currently searching for CDs and pen drives related to the honey trap case, as the secrets of the ministers in the current administration are concealed within them,” the editorial claimed.
