Mumbai, Aug 11 (NationPress) Shiv Sena(UBT) is set to launch protests throughout Maharashtra on Monday, demanding the ousting of ‘tainted ministers’ from the BJP-led Mahayuti government.
The party's leader, Uddhav Thackeray, will spearhead a demonstration in Dadar near the party headquarters, Sena Bhavan. He will be joined by party leader and former minister Aaditya Thackeray, advocating for the resignation of ministers involved in various scandals, including the honey trap case and allegations of corruption.
The party insists that the government must take immediate action against these scandal-plagued ministers instead of granting them immunity.
Protests are planned in front of District Collector offices across the state. The Shiv Sena’s “Jan Aakrosh” agitation coincides with a protest organized by the INDIA bloc in Delhi, aimed at the Election Commission of India over accusations of vote manipulation.
The ministers targeted by Shiv Sena(UBT) include former Agriculture Minister Manikrao Kokate, Ministers of State for Home (Urban) and Revenue Yogesh Kadam, School Education Minister Dadaji Bhuse, and others such as Jaykumar Gore, Nitesh Rane, Sanjay Rathod, and Bharat Gogawale.
Kokate, despite controversies surrounding his involvement in rummy games in the state council and his derogatory remarks about the state government, was granted bail. His role shifted from agriculture to sports, youth welfare, minorities affairs, and Awqaf.
Yogesh Kadam faced scrutiny for allegations regarding a dance bar registered under his mother’s name, yet no action has been taken against him.
Shiv Sena(UBT) council member has alleged Kadam’s ties to illegal sand mining and the Savali bar in Kandivali, where police recently raided for illegal dance bar operations, detaining 22 individuals. Parab has called for Kadam’s resignation.
The Thackeray faction has also charged Minister Dadaji Bhuse with corruption and misconduct within the school education sector.
